We are enjoying a pretty hot summer here in the heart of Europe these days.
Hot summer means cool drinks. And cool drinks mean colorful and sweet coasters.
That’s what I told to myself the other day and enthusiastically started to create a new crochet coaster design – The Sweet Crochet Coasters.
And here’s the result.
I made quite a few.
I like them a lot.
What I probably like the most is how colorful and fresh they look.
I used a scrumptious pure cotton yarn to make them. Working with natural, cooling and colorful yarn is the best thing ever, especially in the summer!
Of course, I’ve put a pattern together for you to enjoy. You can find it and learn more about it in my SHOP.
Enjoy your summer crafting!
Love,
Petra

Lovely! Refreshing colors.
Greetings Petra! Wow, I’m so glad and thankful that I stumbled upon your blog! I was actually googling on food photography (well I don’t know how many million times I’ve done that!). I am a food blogger who is never satisfied with my food photos. I lack something somewhere. I’ve been reading about aperture, ISO and shutter speed all the while, but nothing went into my head, seriously…lol!
But I somehow understood what aperture is after reading your post with demos, I must say you’re an amazing person willing to share your knowledge. God bless you for that.
Like you, I too have similar lenses…with Tamron 90mm and my dslr is Canon EOS 60D. I believe practice makes perfect, I should do that first! Anyways, pass me some drinks please…I’m drooling here! 🙂
Ahaaa !!! Lovely Petra. All the colours are just refreshing. Thanks for sharing.
Hi,
Just want to know if you sell the above crocheted coasters? If you do, can you please tell me how much per set of 6 or 8?
Thanks!
Lita
Hi Lita!
Unfortunately, I do not sell any of the products, I only design the patterns. 🙂 Petra

Enjoy!

Hi Petra. I purchased these lovely coasters from your Etsy shop in the past and I am still not sick of them. Mine turned out a little different because of different yarn choice but they make me just as happy. Keep up the good work!
Hi Crochet Missy! I am very happy you like them. I had a look and they look just lovely. Enjoy! Petra 🙂
Beautiful, so pretty.

Beautiful! If I would have bought your pattern if I knew it earlier. I made a bunch of coasters for family members this Christmas. I am not impressed with the yarn I used. May I ask what kind of yarn you prefer to use for coasters and potholders? I used cotton yarn but I think the ones I used are not good…
Hello! Thanks for the nice words!! I used sport weight (cotton) yarn and G (4 mm) hook to make these coasters. I usually use sport weight yarn for my coaster projects… Happy crocheting! Petra 🙂
