Taking pictures of flowers and editing them while there’s some dreamy music playing in the background and a steaming cup of coffee sits on a table next to me is one of the sweetest and most relaxing activities I know.
Here are a few of my pictures that I took recently. I am also including downloadable larger versions in case anyone would like to use them in their projects or would even transform them into the desktop wallpaper.

Hot Toddy (And A Free Desktop Background Too)

Today, I was waking up deciding what to prepare for my blog – whether it would be the long planned soft pretzels recipe, or a lovely beverage called hot toddy.

One look outside the window made it all perfectly clear (because yes, in my strange world the weather and light is everything).

The sun was shining extremely bright. As if begging to send some of its rays through a hot, sweet, and delicious cup, helping to make the drink that’s inside look as magical, warming, and soothing as it in fact really is.

So, the Hot Toddy it is!

An efficient cold-healing potion, and a relaxer par excellence.

As somebody once said: “Hot Toddy has it all – the vitamin C for health, the honey to soothe, the alcohol to numb.”

And I drank it …in the morning …and don’t even have a cold … and yes, I had a great day…

Free Desktop Background – Teddy

Dear Teddy!

I do not know your name.

I do not know where you come from… or where you’re going… or what you point of view on global issues is.

All I know is that I found you sitting on a solitary park bench on a sunny afternoon last weekend.

And another fact I know for sure is that I needed to take a picture of you immediately to be able to turn that lovely image into a wallpaper for me and my lovely readers to enjoy.

And you know what?

I’ve already done that!

You now make a cute background on my laptop. Although I am not really sure if you know what a laptop or a background is. But that really does not matter.

In return, I need to say a big THANK YOU for sitting on that solitary bench right when I was going by and for letting me find you. You might not even know, but you have accidentally started a new toy wallpaper section on my site. I cannot really thank you enough for that.

Free Fall Desktop Backgrounds

Taking pictures is one of my most favorite hobbies.

I am so grateful that this wonderful activity came into my life.

It is so relaxing, it is so enriching, it is just MAGICAL.

I take pictures almost every day, whether they are pictures of food that I take in my kitchen to illustrate the recipes I write about, or they are various pictures I take outside while traveling or just walking in nature.

And then, when I arrive back home, I make myself a nice cup of coffee, put on some nice music (or a fun movie even), and enjoy editing the pictures while adding a bit of my own fantasy to them.

Oh, how I love it!

Needless to say, with a lifestyle like this, I have already hoarded loads and loads of pictures.

And have I said I have like LOADS of them?

So I thought that – from time to time – I will pick a few of my most favorite images and present them here as downloadable desktop backgrounds for you to enjoy.

Of course, they will all be free.

I was even thinking I could open a new section of this site called FREE DESKTOP BACKGROUNDS one day. I can already see those themes – food, desserts, macro, nature, animals, flowers, winter. Oh, so EXCITING!
