Livin’ La Vida Boho

resin-pendants

Hi friends. How are you doing?

Over here, in my world, I am living ‘la vida boho’ (haha).

I am not really sure why and how it happened to me, but for some reason I realized that the so called bohemian style is what i want to dive into these days. So I went in, head first.

As I realized, the ocean of boho style is incredibly deep and beautiful… and mesmerizing… and soul-nourishing… and energy recharging. Oh the colors, the warmth, the cheerfulness, the richness of the textures, the comfort it brings… everything about it appeals to me IMMENSELY. Right now I am in the state where I just want to ‘bohemian-ize’ everything around me… (in case you come near, you’ve been warned)… . To outline the vision, I might as well call this year THE YEAR OF BOHO, building colorful happy shields whenever and wherever possible.

Anyways, learning how to channel this style, I have a few projects in works these days. I cannot wait to show them to you once they are fully finished (they even involve pictures I made… I know… what?). Until then, I thought I could just introduce to you a few parts of my fast growing boho collection…

These are just a few of my favorites. Seeing this, my heart is singing happy songs!

Somewhere along the way I got this idea of placing crocheted items on the pictures I make. And that idea has put me in a state of complete and utter THRILL :).

Well, yes, I realized that I had been searching for a different way to display my crocheted pieces for such a long time but did not really know how… and now I found the way. Yippee! The possibilities are endless and I see this as a very long and amazing journey for me. Will you join me? 🙂

decoupage-painting

To display my crocheted items, I’ve made a few backgrounds – painted and decoupaged. The background above is a decoupage (paper cutouts glued onto paper). This was my first try at this craft and I loved it!!! So amazing and relaxing!

Then the crocheted pieces and some charms join the game and the picture will soon be ready for you to see (stay tuned).

Speaking of charms… Hello my darling ones!! 🙂 You complete my life!

This is a sneak peek of my other project. There are feathers and some really powerful words involved – this picture has a mission. Soon all will be revealed in more detail.

Here’s a detail of the corner, I am still playing with different ideas and placements before it’s really finished. I was thinking – can you ever go over the top in the bohemian style? 🙂

Well, all in all, this is just the game that I need now. Gimme those embellishments!!! 🙂

I hope you enjoyed this little boho extravaganza. Will be back with more soon!

Take care!

With lots of love,

Crochet Guardian Archangels

crochet archangels

Hi dear friends!

I hope you are doing fine and that life is treating you well.

Today I have some sweet news for you – my crochet angels have been finished and are ready to meet you…

The long story short, I have been making crochet guardian angels recently. And not just any angels – they are archangels. The archangels of four directions – Uriel, Raphael, Gabriel and Michael. And they are here to protect.

crochet archangels

These four wonderful beings are believed to send help and protection if imagined or placed in four corners surrounding the space you wish to protect.

Uriel is the Guardian of North, Raphael of East, Gabriel of West and Michael of South.

The angels are believed to prevent our Light from being depleted or diminished and protect us from all harm and lower vibrational forces and energies.

They are now protecting my home and I made some more to fly to those of you who wish to welcome them in their homes too.

Love these so much.

I could not resist and embellished them with some glitter. Yay!

I created three different packages, depending on the colors of the angels.

The first package includes a pink, green, violet and blue angel. You can find it here.

The second package has a pink, yellow, violet and blue angel. You can find it here.

And the third package has four white angels. You can find it here.

(P.S.: I am planning to put together a pattern and tutorial on how to make these angels – stay tuned.)

Sunday Greetings

Hi dear friends!

I hope you are doing fine and enjoying a lovely Sunday.

Here in my world, the day has been unfolding beatifully so far, with me being seated at my desk, working at some cute craft projects. Oh, the bliss!

There are quite a few projects that have been keeping me busy lately – pullovers and angels mostly. The knit pullovers? They are the easiest ones to make, I am currently making a tutorial to show you the details. And the angels? It seems that I am building an army, spiritual warfare happening here (I am planning to put some in my shop and to make a pattern too).

I will talk about these projects soon.

Great News! More Payment Options Now Available In My Etsy Shop!

If you are into handmade goods and art, you might have already heard about Etsy – a wonderful marketplace for independent artisans.

I’ve had a crochet pattern store on Etsy for almost five years now (wooow, how time flies!) and I have to say that I have always felt so great for having that opportunity. It became clear to me from the very beginning that the people behind Etsy were fully dedicated to their job/mission and that their main priority was to bring the best services possible to both sellers and customers. They definitely strive for continues improvement.

And these days the Etsy folks have achieved one of their big goals which I think I should definitely let you know about (since many of you, dear readers and crocheters, asked me about this). To be more specific, up till now, if you wanted to purchase a pattern in my shop, the only way to pay was by using PayPal. But things have changed for better! Since Etsy has recently widened the group of countries where Direct Checkout is possible, my shop now offers all kinds of payment options including credit cards, debit/bank cards, iDEAL (Netherlands only), Sofort (Austria and Germany), Google Wallet, Apple Pay, even Etsy Gift Cards.

I know this might mean that some of you who were not able to obtain one of my patterns in the past will be able to do so now. And that makes me really happy.

Happy crocheting!

Love,
Petra
