Free Desktop Background – Teddy

Dear Teddy!

I do not know your name.

I do not know where you come from… or where you’re going… or what you point of view on global issues is.

All I know is that I found you sitting on a solitary park bench on a sunny afternoon last weekend.

And another fact I know for sure is that I needed to take a picture of you immediately to be able to turn that lovely image into a wallpaper for me and my lovely readers to enjoy.

And you know what?

I’ve already done that!

You now make a cute background on my laptop. Although I am not really sure if you know what a laptop or a background is. But that really does not matter.

In return, I need to say a big THANK YOU for sitting on that solitary bench right when I was going by and for letting me find you. You might not even know, but you have accidentally started a new toy wallpaper section on my site. I cannot really thank you enough for that.

At least if that ‘one’ is me.

Or are you with me?

Well, this recipe comes directly from that world – the world of delicious and flavorful crowd-pleasing finger food.

Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce to you the Mini Garlic and Cheese Biscuits.

And I promise that you’ll really like what a nice amount of garlic can do to a biscuit. It just has this power to turn a regular biscuit into an AMAZING experience!

Garlic and cheese biscuits recipe with step by step pictures. Flour, garlic and salt in a bowl, Add milk. Add shredded cheese.

1. Preheat the oven to 400 F (200 C).

2. In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, garlic) to combine.

If you use 3/4 tsp salt, it will result in rather salty but still tasty biscuits. If you prefer your food less salty, just reduce that amount to about 1/2 teaspoon.

3. Cube the cold butter. Using a fork or a pastry cutter, cut the butter into the dry ingredients until crumbs form.

4. Add milk and shredded cheese and form a dough ball.

Taking pictures is one of my most favorite hobbies.

I am so grateful that this wonderful activity came into my life.

It is so relaxing, it is so enriching, it is just MAGICAL.

I take pictures almost every day, whether they are pictures of food that I take in my kitchen to illustrate the recipes I write about, or they are various pictures I take outside while traveling or just walking in nature.

And then, when I arrive back home, I make myself a nice cup of coffee, put on some nice music (or a fun movie even), and enjoy editing the pictures while adding a bit of my own fantasy to them.

Oh, how I love it!

Needless to say, with a lifestyle like this, I have already hoarded loads and loads of pictures.

And have I said I have like LOADS of them?

So I thought that – from time to time – I will pick a few of my most favorite images and present them here as downloadable desktop backgrounds for you to enjoy.

Of course, they will all be free.

I was even thinking I could open a new section of this site called FREE DESKTOP BACKGROUNDS one day. I can already see those themes – food, desserts, macro, nature, animals, flowers, winter. Oh, so EXCITING!

5-Minute Chocolate Mug Cake

Have you ever wondered if it’s possible?

To make a cake in a microwave oven? With the whole process taking only about 5 minutes of your precious time?

Then I have the answer for you.

IT. IS. POSSIBLE. And it is even GOOD AND TASTY!

The truth is that I was searching for a decent mug cake recipe for quite some time. I had collected a few recipes, read through the comments, contemplated the variations of ingredients, and waited for the right moment to make this tempting chocolate dream come true.

Without even waiting that long, the right moment presented itself this week… because when you return from a visit to your sister’s and your sister sends you home with a big smile and a suitcase full of Twilight Saga books, then some really special measures need to be taken, the most important one being to save time wherever possible – cleaning, sleeping, and even baking included.

So here I am, with 3 and a half books to read and a lovely new cake to show you.

Here are the details…

5-minute-chocolate-mug-cake-ingredients

This is what we need. Just enough for 1 1/2-cup (300 ml) mug.

This recipe includes very few instructions.

You just basically place all the ingredients (minus the choc chips) in a mug (I did the stirring in a bowl because I wanted to keep my mug clean and nice for photographic purposes).
