The Pouf Thing

colorful crocheted floor cushion

(365/60)

Rounds and rounds of colorful crochet is what I’ve been enjoying today.

These rounds represent the early and very humble stages of my newest project. Somewhere in the foggy future this activity might result in a cute floor pouf, an item that my flat needs so desperately.

Well, I am not sure how many attempts this floor cushion evolution is going to require, but what I do know is that I am pretty determined and deep in love with the process already!

I wish you a nice and relaxing weekend!

With love,
Petra

I love this so much I have decided to come out of lurkerdom. It is so happy. It looks like a lot of fun to make as well. I love that colors play well so well together without feeling too planned. I look forward to seeing your finished pouf.

I can’t wait to see what this looks like. They are so expensive to buy. I just found you today! what a fun place you have. DO you have any video tutorials?

OK, I am about to show how little I know about these types of projects….. I have never made anything with crochet besides a lot of afghans, and some lacy edges on otherwise unadorned hankies, then used them as doilies. So, when you say you are making a floor “pouf” I get confused, because I see a lovely round rug taking shape. The next part you posted shows some waves and raised, not flat on the floor, portions of the circular rug. So, what exactly IS a “floor pouf”? I am enjoying all the new ideas I’m seeing in crocheted, and just invested in my first yarn and hook in 13 years time! I love your ideas, and use of color in your projects. Makes me feel happy every day to read your

      Hi Maschelle!

Thanks for your sweet words and for following my every-day adventures, it’s very much appreciated!

This strange thing that some call pouf (oh, how I love that word 🙂 ) should actually turn into a floor cushion one day. A bigger round cushion that one can sit on and also an item that brightens up the room. I hope that in my next post it will appear more like a cushion, finally!

      Love,
      Petra
