Happy Little Sun

Hi, dear friends!

Lovely to see you again. I hope you had a lovely weekend.

Mine was very calm, good and colorful.

I decided to put a small dent in my felt stash and create these bright and cheerful ‘Little Happy Suns’.

I loved that project a lot.

They just bring a smile on my face every time I look at them.

I like them as they are but right now I am considering possible ways to use or display them.

I am thinking of hanging each little sun on the wall individually, or join them all with a beaded thread to turn them into a longer hanging wall decor… or making a garland out of them…

Or a baby mobile. I am sure they would look lovely as a mobile.

Do you have any other ideas? I’d appreciate hearing them. Do tell!!!

Oh… aaaand, I made a few pictures while they were being made… so I guess I will post a free tutorial soon. In fact, they are pretty easy to make with just some basic sewing and crocheting involved.

See you soon!

Love,
Petra

Oh, so cute! Perhaps fill them with something that would freeze well? Then they could be feel better ice packs?

Well you already came up with the first thing that I though, which was mobile lol. They are adorable! I think they would be cute on crocheted flower pot covers. I think sometime in my life I’ve seen a flower pot cover…lol Love your creations 🙂

I love the mobile idea too! I’m not sure how big they are but maybe they’d work as fridge magnets with a nice big magnet attached at the back? They’d brighten up a kitchen beautifully 🙂

Ooh I had another idea! You could sew a smiling face on the opposite side, attach a secure piece of wool (or string etc) and use it as a hanging Do Not Disturb style sign on your bedroom door handle (or even better, a guest room).

hmm…I don’t now if I explained that right, I mean a smiling (eyes open) face on the opposite side (eyes open = I’m awake and you can knock on my door, eyes closed = please don’t disturb me I’m sleeping). I think a little girl would love it 🙂

these little guys are so cute! If you filled them with rice they’d make great hand warmers. But they’d be so cute as a mobile too!

They would be sooo cute as a mobile! I’d even fill them with lavender and use them as little sachets for children’s (and my) dresser drawers…but then they would be hidden from view. I think they would be adorable hung as a group, but placing them around the house, on knobs and things, would spread the sunshine and happiness in every part of the home. I’d even let the little ones play with them…they have that cute quality of amigurumi without the small “choking hazard” parts. I hope you post your free tutorial soon! Thank you, Petra!

These are so cute. I was thinking of making one for a friend’s desk. And adding a wooden dowel to the back and putting into a little flower pot….so she always have a ray of sunshine while she works
