Petra, your website saves me from calling my mum at some strange day or night hour when I suddenly get a craving for mixing up something ‘from back home’ here on the other side of the Atlantic. This cake reminds of my grandma who used to make it often. I was surprised by how much my friends liked it when I made it. I will need to double the amounts though, to accommodate rectangular baking pan and to have more of this goodness

Loved the recipe! I put some chocolate chips on top of the base before I put in the filling. Was a great chocolate kick for those days when you need it.

Tried it. Absolutely loved it. I eat alot of cheesecake (my favourite) and this is the best. Cookie on top is an inspiration. Next time, blueberry and lemon, black forest, apricot and almond etc. Thanks.
